Wildlife Encounters

Or, reason #5 why you NEVER leave your camera at home...

I didn't expect to see anything interesting at my daughter's orthodontist appt this morning, but this little guy was nosing around the back door when we were leaving. You just never know what you'll see, no matter how mundane your plans are :)

When we first moved we had one rummaging through our garbage. (You haven't lived until you have to pick up a dirty diaper that has set around for almost a week in a plastic bag and than been pulled open and laid in the yard that is dew covered over night) :) He/she hasn't bothered us in the last few weeks, might of meet his demise on the highway that is close to us... But your picture is great of the raccoon. He is almost to cute to think of him getting in to garbage!!!

I'm impressed! I've only seen them in my neighborhood at dusk and I've never seen one in a tree.

Great shot. So does your camera go anywhere with you?

GmaL, it's rare that I leave it at home. The few times I have, I have missed some great pictures. So I pretty much carry it everywhere, much to the consternation of my husband :)
