Today we had the final day of games for our church's Upward basketball and cheerleading program. It was amazing to see the result of months of preparation and planning. We had over 200 children participating, from age 4 to 8th grade. It was so much fun to watch them cheer and play ball. The ball players were as competitive and intense as some high school and college teams that I've seen!
For the last game day, the cheerleaders had a special presentation set to music. You can see Melissa and her Asst. coach showing them how to get it done!
And of course, it's not real sports without post-game interviews. :o)
And the final passing out of the stars. They are awarded iron-on stars in different colors representing different things like best sportsmanship, best offense, best defense, Christ-likeness, etc.
Already looking forward to next year!

Superb series!
I forgot to say that I love the title of the post and its subject, too. Wonderful.
What can I say? You're the best! I did, however, see you walk up with the camera. No where to hide when you're performing. :)
I love the action shots. You've captured the movement really well.
