Man Down

You always take a risk when you participate in any kind of sport. Snow skiing is no exception. We took a trip to the ER tonight. I'm happy
to report that it was not serious ;)

This is our girl A., one of our snowboarders. She took a fall this afternoon, which wasn't a problem. If snowboarders know ANYTHING, it's how to fall. :) Unfortunately, before she could get back up, she was run into by not one, but TWO skiers. They hit her in the side and bruised her up pretty bad. Ski patrol was uttering words like "Broken hip"...a LOT of prayers were going up for this young lady. Our church even got word before evening services were over and gathered at the altar to pray. I've said it before, prayer WORKS. She has a badly bruised hip, but nothing is broken! :)

They gave her some morphine :) I don't think she liked the shot that it came by, but she DID enjoy the pain relief...

She's back up, and lives to snowboard another day...

Wonderful that she is okay. Looks like a dangerous business. She looks happy though, still smiling.

Yes it seems all turned out O.K.
This set of pictures and the skiing and boarding are beautifully done. The night ones with the lights shining like coloured star are just stunning.

I'm so glad that this young lady is not badly hurt and I hope she is back out there enjoying it all again very soon. Her smile speaks volumes..
