"Santa" was very good to us :)

And to me especially. He surprised me (when he wasn't supposed to get me anything) with a new zoom lens for my camera. IT.IS.AWESOME!! See this pine tree? That big, huge tall one, right back there in the middle?? This is the lens all the way out...

and THIS is it all the way IN!!!
I am tickled 42 shades of pink. Here is some more of my playing around with it today...

This bird was kind enough to land on my back fence, this was through the window:

Thank you, Santa ;o)

My darling daughter got a new camera for Chrismas...I'm sure she will be blogging again soon. It's a Nikon coolpix L14. Takes awesome pictures, I'd like to have one to toss in my purse.

Here she is getting a lesson from her Nikon-expert Uncle J.

RJ got 897 trains, but his most favorite was from Granny & Papa:

This thing is montrously huge...this is the inside of it. It is now taking up the majority of our living room :) It says on the box that it is easy to fold up. A bigger lie I don't think I've ever heard!!! Rory, Joel and Debbie spent the better part of an hour poring over the instructions and trying different tactics to get it back in the box. As I said at the time, it would have been easier to get mercury back into a thermometer!! It was extremely entertaining, though. I have it ALL on film, hehe! I think I'll put it on youtube for everyone to enjoy...

Some other favorites were W's new 80gb video ipod, and M's electric guitar and amp set up. I don't have pics of them yet, only video. Everybody is happy, and another season of shopping, decorating, and anticipation is over. It's really amazing how fast time goes, but life keeps getting better and better. Every day is a gift from God, and I'm not complaining!! :)

I want to let you know that the Thomas the Tank Tent will be hanging around, fully open, for the next couple of years. And, you will give up trying to fold it and put it back in a bag.
