There was some discussion on another blog I frequent about my Mom & Dad's giant poinsettia bush. Here it is :)
Our church decorates with hundreds of poinsettias every Christmas. This is one from a few years ago that they just kind of tossed outside and it took root. This picture is from a year or two ago, it's late blooming this year for some reason. Anyway, it's beautiful when it's full of blooms like in this picture :)

That is beautiful and so big. I did not know you could plant poinsettias outside. Looks like a bush more than a potted plant. Thanks for sharing.
I have never seen a poinsettia in the ground. Of course being from NW OH this shouldn't come as a surprise...lol!!! And I never even thought of them growing outside of the foil covered pots. ;)
Like Shana, I have only seen a poinsetta in the ground! They are beautiful.
That is so gorgeous! Huge, bright flowers....just lovely! Thanks for posting it and for stopping by to let me know.
Wow - that is BIG!!
Beautiful too!!
Beautiful!
Both of mine are late bloomers this year, too. Of course, they aren't near as big as this one!
Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a poinsettia actually planted in the grown. The same thing happened to me once though. I planted a bunch of perennials. They were shocked and sort of died. I thought they were gone for good. Pulled them all out and through them in the field behind our house. The following year they all bloomed into a beautiful garden...out in the field mind you!!! It was pretty funny.
Don't think i have ever seen one that big. Very pretty
wow, i never knew these grew anywhere besides plastic pots with shiny, plastic wrapping.
