I heard a rumor

that there was a beautiful field of sunflowers not too far from me, so I took a drive to check it out.
Sunflowers, yes...beautiful? Not exactly.

Nevertheless, I got out of the house for a bit and there were a few photo opportunities. The place was swarming with these little, tiny butterflies. He looks pretty good sized here, but it's about the size of the end of my thumb.

There were plenty of dragonflies swarming about as well...

and some nice views along the way, so not a total waste of time :)

Scary storm clouds. This is what nearly every afternoon looks like, this time of year where we live. Afternoon thunderstorms are part of life here :)

It lasted approximately 45 minutes before we were wringing wet with sweat and Zeke's tongue was dragging the ground. Welcome to Summer in Florida! LOL
