Re the butterfly field guide, I really love Butterflies Through Binoculars. I have the Florida edition and The East. DS is a bit more partial to Butterflies of North America by Kenn Kaufman. The Thru Bins books have actual photographs of each butterfly. The Kaufman guide has digital images based on photos. I always try to find the books at the library to compare before I decide.
