Yes, Deer
So I had to pick my oldest up from work last night at Midnight. I decided to take my camera, because you just never know...and lo and behold. look what I found drinking from the lake! Ok, I know the picture is crap-crap-crappy...but it was midnight and I'm a novice. The point is, it's DEER!! LOL There were a couple of females and two or three little babies. I pulled off the road and put my headlights on them. They were kind enough to stand around for a few and let me *try* and take some pics
Then it was on to wait for dear son to finish up. Decisions, decisions...
Cheese is ALWAYS the right choice :)
Then on the way back home, we found this big guy. He was just laying around on the lawn in front of our community pool. Maybe Daddy to the babies? Who knows. (btw, click on this one to see it blown up)
Of course he stood up when I pulled off the road, but he stood there watching curiously while I set up and braced myself against the truck door to try and get a good shot. :) Very cooperative deer around these parts.

Beauty by the River
I don't know why it is. Maybe because this is where I'm from. Maybe it was growing up with Grandparents who had a home on this very river, just a few miles North of this spot. Maybe it's all of it combined. I've been to the mountains too many times to count, spent half my life on the beach. I've not seen every beautiful spot there is to see in my country, but nothing has ever been more beautiful to me than the river. Maybe just because it's home. :)

Oh the lengths we go to...
Our VBS is coming up, and since I am a co-director (with Melissa365), I have to wear this lovely headband to church tomorrow, and for the next two weeks after that. Won't I be cute? (Melissa, you better be wearing yours!) RJ is pretty taken with them, I hope I can keep them in one piece for the next few weeks. :)

By Special Request :)
Mrs. M said to put this up tonight, and I am nothing if not obedient. :) These are my baby boys. The bigger one was my baby for a long time, until the little one came along. He wasn't too sure about being a big brother at first. In fact, he was pretty much against the whole idea! I'm happy to show that once baby brother came, it was complete and utter love and devotion on big brother's part. Even to the extent that he is hoping we have another. :)

Guess who can get into the pantry?
And not only get in, but reach the lowest shelf! He came to me with a box of jello. He kept insisting it was "Foop"!!! (Soup) and further insisting that "Want fum, Mama! Want fum!" So we made some Jello instant French Vanilla pudding. He was very interested in the process.
After all that, do you think he took even one bite? That would be a "no". :)
