Lunar Eclipse

After reading my My Dad’s blog post about the eclipse

I thought about the chorus to this song by Salvador:

Lord let me shine
Shine like the moon
A reflection of You
In all that I do
Lord let me be
A light for Your truth
Light of the world, I wanna be used
To shine for You

by Salvador
Album: Dismiss The Mystery (2006)

Excellent song :)

I doubt that, but thank you. That was HARD!! The clouds almost ruined it, RJ kept running by the tripod and bumping it...I happy I got anything worth saving, LOL!

so good! love the light lines.
Tripods are a pain in the bum sometimes.
I will post one of mine tomorrow.

I stayed home tonight just to get a photo and fell asleep watching TV while waiting and missed it all. When I did get up and out I got a really pitiful shot. Oh well, just two more years to wait.

I'm so glad to see this. I set my alarm, had a flask of coffee all ready. The tripod was set up and ready.. but we had cloud cover. The first night in over two weeks we did not get a clear sky.

Thanks! Yes Mike, I took these...I can't believe it either! LOL

Linda, thats so strange to think about...

Paulie, that is so something I would do. :) If I hadn't been at church until 9:15, I probably would have forgotten completely. We saw it starting when we went to the car.

Tom, that's so frustrating. I was watching it all the way home, the sky was SO clear. Then I ran inside to get the tripod, set up, and BOOM...it was gone. Clouds everywhere! The few shots I did get were from holes in the clouds going by. :)

I spent the entire evening peeking outside waiting for the clouds to break, with the camera ready. We only got a brief window of clearness, but I managed to get a decent shot, about 10 minutes after yours.

Oops. Meant to say I really like how the bit of cloudiness makes for the streaky light in the sky in yours. It adds atmosphere, literally and figuratively.

I KNEW you would have some awesome pictures of it! Thank goodness someone in our group has that "high dollar zoom"! :)

WOW those moon shots are fabulous! How did you get the glow? The round moon just floats.

Happy Anniversary!
