Pink & Green

No, this is not the same frog from a couple of days ago. :) The one from before is about 3 times the size of this little guy. I was trying to take his picture on the back porch when he jumped on my chest. Yes, even though I was cringing in anticipation of him landing on my face with his next wayward leap, I still took the picture. :)
Unlike the wasps and hornets I've read about lately, no frogs are harmed in the making of this blog. :)

Musical Sunday

We had a group that I had never heard before, This Hope . They are AWESOME! They do a lot of acappella, they are like a Gospel "Rockapella", if you've ever heard them. :) Really enjoyed it, hope they come back. (Carla, they are all originally from Alaska and now live in Woodstock, GA)
They have really really tight, awesome harmony. They also play some good piano and guitar.
Then, we had a covered dish lunch with another SS Dept, and had some more good music...
If you read my bro-in-law's blog , this is "Bro. N" :)
And I just had to include this. You can't see her, but M is also taking her Sunday afternoon nap, in the "way back" :)

I Hear the Train A-Comin'...

We went to Georgia this afternoon, looking at land...While driving down a dirt road to see some property, we had to cross these train tracks. We could see a train coming in the distance, so we parked and waited for it...

you see, we have a true train addict that lives in our house, so we couldn't pass up this opportunity to let him see a real train, up close and personal...
It was an Amtrak, and it was F-LY-ING!! The ground shook as it went by, and our hair very nearly blew off our heads and followed it down the tracks...

RJ was beside himself, and then we saw ANOTHER train on the way home! Two trains in one day...

Taking Down the Flag

So crazy, I was out there for 30 minutes trying to catch a lightning bolt, and I gave up and took pics of the guys taking the flag down. :) I didn't see the bolt until I put it on the computer.

Major Award

Awhile back, I entered a contest at Drea's Blog for a Playskool gift basket. I actually won!! It was a second chance drawing, and I won!! :) It came today:
I was tickled to see that it really is a gift "basket"! Lots of cool stuff. So enter those drawings and contests, because you just never know! :)

Uninvited Guest

UGH GROSS GROSS GROSS!!! Living in Florida, we have lots of "uninvited guests", but I think I hate this one more than any of them. We have had pest control, treated the yard, filled in the cracks where pipes come in, etc etc, but they KEEP COMING BACK. They get worse when it's rainy. Nasty little suckers...I prefer to shower ALONE, thankyouverymuch!
I have gotten into the habit of shaking out my towel before I use it, and if I hang my pj's over the wall by the tub, I shake them out too. These things like to get in stuff and hide, and yes, those pincers on the back do work. I had one get on me in the shower and pinched me on the stomach. Did I say GROSS?!?? :)

Future Plans

I had to go to the bookstore yesterday, Oldest needed another book for school. Of course I had to browse the shelves while I was there, and I found this cute planner for next year. I don't know if it's my age or just that I have more to remember these days, but if I don't write it down, it gets forgotten. So I live by my planner. :) This one is cool, it's a 16 month, starting in September 07! Great for me, since I already have dates that need to be written down for next year...
The one I had last year is bigger and bulkier, this one is much better. Smaller, and it has a nifty strap to keep it closed so I can throw it in my purse. It's the little things. :)

It's Just Not Fair!

Well, I did take my camera with me today...

But not to the Doctors...Mop-head needed a haircut, so Daddy wanted to take him today while he's off, and I went along to take pictures.

About halfway through, he decided he didn't like haircuts. He was fine with it the last time, but 2 year olds are extremely fickle...
Awww...how handsome... As you can probably tell by his expression, he's still not too sure...
Amazed by all his hair on the floor...

And, my test went Ok, as far as tests like that go...and I have a little something they like to call "Diverticulosis".

Not something you dream of having, but it could be worse, so we'll count our blessings. (Oh, and Debbie was right...the Dr DID take some great pictures today...but I don't think I'll share them here! I like you all far too much for that. :)

We have officially moved from "Cars" to "Thomas the Train"... :) We went shopping at Toys R Us last night - we acquired Henry, Clarabelle, and a lot of train track to play with them on.
